IC697CGR935 is a single slot redundant CPU from GE Fanuc 90-70 series, featuring hot standby redundancy, high-speed floating-point operations, and dual Genius buses, designed specifically for high availability industrial control scenarios.

1、 Core Performance and Architecture

Processor: 96MHz 80486DX4 32-bit CPU, supports floating-point operations, Boolean instruction execution speed of 0.4 μ s.

Memory: 1MB battery backup fast CMOS RAM, data retention for 6 months after power failure; Supports program and data storage, with verification and error detection.

I/O capability: Supports up to 12K discrete inputs/12K discrete outputs (any mix), with analog I/O up to 8K points.

Single slot design: occupying 1 rack slot, compatible with 90-70 series backplanes and modules.

2、 Redundancy and high availability features

Hot Standby: Supports dual CPU redundancy, seamless switching between primary and backup (completed in most scenarios with a single scan cycle), and no single point of failure (except for I/O blocks and bus stubs).

Synchronization mechanism: The primary and backup CPUs synchronize programs and data in real time, switch without disturbance, and scan extension is only 4.7ms.
