MVI46-GSC Universal Serial Communication Module

MVI46-GSC is a universal ASCII serial communication module designed by ProSoft specifically for Rockwell SLC 500 series PLCs. It is used to expand independent serial communication ports for SLC systems and interface with various ASCII protocol devices.

Core Features

Single slot installation, compatible with SLC 500 local/expansion rack, does not occupy PLC native serial port

Provide 2 independent programmable serial ports (PRT1/PRT2), supporting RS-232/422/485 electrical interfaces

The baud rate range is 110-115200bps, with 5-8 data bits and configurable parity/stop bits

Single port supports up to 4096 character ASCII string transmission and reception, suitable for long message devices

Support multiple message termination modes: stream mode, termination character, timeout, packet length limit

Support hardware (RTS/CTS, DTR/DSR) and software (XON/XOFF) flow control

Independent communication processing, exchanging data with PLC through SLC backplane M0/M1 files without occupying main processor resources

Built in RJ45 RS-232 configuration port (CFG) for local parameter setting and diagnosis

Multi state LED indicator lights: module status, backplane communication, serial port activity, and fault status are clear at a glance

Industrial grade design, working temperature 0-60 ℃, strong anti-interference, suitable for harsh industrial sites

Backplane power consumption 800mA @ 5VDC, low power consumption, compatible with SLC 5/02 and above processors
