Xycom XVME-979 Disk Storage Interface Module

Xycom XVME-979 is a 6U dual slot VME bus industrial grade high-capacity storage interface module that integrates IDE hard disk, CD-ROM/CD-RW/DVD-RW, and floppy drive interfaces. It is designed to provide local optical and hard disk storage expansion for VME systems, and is suitable for harsh industrial control scenarios.

6U dual high VME standard size, occupying only one VME bus slot.

Built in 2.5-inch IDE hard drive (1.3GB/2.2GB), optional 5.25-inch 24X CD-ROM/CD-RW/DVD-RW drive.

Provide external floppy drive interface, supporting XVME-9000-EXF 3.5-inch 1.44MB external floppy drive.

The storage signal is transmitted through the VME P2 connector, and the power is taken from the P1 connector.

Compatible with VME processor modules such as Xycom XVME-654/655/689/690.

Supports PIO Mode 4 and DMA Mode 2, with a burst data transfer rate of 16.6MB/s.

The average seek time of the hard drive is about 12ms, the inter track seek time is 4ms, and the read and write performance is stable.

Support automatic error retry and defect sector mapping to improve data reliability.
