NX-7500 Series Core Adaptation: The Extreme Networks NX-7510-100R0-WR, as a high-level network management device, is designed specifically for NX-7500 series core switches. It is installed through dedicated business slots and can seamlessly expand host wide area network access and management capabilities. Compared to the NX-5500 series adaptation models, it supports higher port density and bandwidth levels, and is suitable for core layer scenarios of ultra large enterprise headquarters and regional data centers.

10 Gigabit Wide Area Network Port Configuration: Based on the "WR" identification, it strengthens the wide area network adaptation and is equipped with multiple sets of SFP+/QSFP28 port combinations (presumably including 4-8 10 Gigabit/40G ports), supporting flexible switching of gigabit to 40Gbps rates, compatible with dedicated lines, SD-WAN and other wide area network access methods, meeting the high-speed interconnection needs of headquarters, multi branch offices, and cross regional data centers. Its bandwidth capacity is 2-4 times higher than that of NX-5500 series modules.

Ultra high performance forwarding architecture: adopting a new generation of non blocking switching chips, the expected switching capacity is over 400Gbps, the forwarding rate is over 296Mbps, supporting 64Byte small packet line speed processing, and coupled with the high-performance backplane of NX-7500 series hosts, it can carry high load traffic such as large-scale virtualization services and cross regional cloud interconnection, with latency controlled at the microsecond level, adapting to the low latency transmission requirements of the core layer.

Long distance wide area network transmission optimization: SFP+/QSFP28 ports support ultra long distance optical modules (such as 1550nm single-mode fiber modules, with a transmission distance of over 100km), built-in wide area network signal amplification and error correction mechanisms, which can directly achieve cross city and cross regional wide area network connection without the need for additional relay devices, reducing long-distance interconnection costs. Compared with NX-5500 series modules, the transmission capacity is significantly enhanced.

Deep integration of SD-WAN and WAN protocols: In addition to being compatible with traditional protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS VPN, etc., SD-WAN intelligent routing function has been added, supporting dynamic path selection based on bandwidth, latency, and cost, which can automatically optimize cross regional business traffic paths; At the same time, it natively supports IPv4/IPv6 dual stack and Segment Routing, meeting the needs of next-generation wide area network protocol upgrades and adapting to the network architecture evolution in enterprise digital transformation.

Multi module redundancy and cluster expansion: Supports up to 8 modules of the same model to form a redundant cluster, and achieves multi-path backup through link aggregation (LAG) and redundant routing protocols (such as VRRP). When a single module fails, the business automatically switches, with a switching time of less than 50ms. Combined with the stacking function of NX-7500 series hosts, it can build a large-scale core layer wide area network access cluster, with expansion capabilities twice as high as NX-5500 series.
