Core layer DC power supply exclusive design: Extreme Networks NX-7500-DC, as the DC power supply version of the NX-7500 series high-end core switch, is designed for critical scenarios that rely on DC power supply such as data centers, energy, and telecommunications. It supports -48V DC standard DC input (compatible with industry common DC power supply systems) and is more suitable for uninterruptible power supply (UPS) DC architecture compared to AC models, avoiding AC/DC conversion losses and improving power supply stability.
High density modular port expansion: Adopting a fully modular architecture design, it supports flexible insertion of NX series business modules (such as NX-7510-100R0-WR wide area network module, 40/100G optical port module, etc.), and can be expanded to dozens of 10G/40G/100G ports at most. The port density is 3-5 times higher than that of entry-level core switches, and it is suitable for the high-density interconnection needs of ultra large data center core layers and regional backbone networks.
Ultra high performance switching architecture: equipped with a new generation of self-developed switching chips, with a switching capacity of over 2.56Tbps and a forwarding rate of over 1.92Bpps, supporting 64Byte packet line speed processing, with latency controlled within 5 microseconds. It can carry high bandwidth and low latency services such as large-scale virtualization, AI training, and distributed storage, with performance indicators more than doubled compared to the NX-5500 series.
Dual DC power redundancy guarantee: comes standard with 2 hot swappable DC power modules, supporting N+1 or 2N redundancy configurations. The power of a single power module can reach over 1600W, meeting the power consumption requirements of fully equipped business modules; When a single power supply fails, the backup power supply seamlessly switches in milliseconds, coupled with a power failure alarm mechanism, to ensure uninterrupted core layer business 24/7, significantly improving power supply reliability compared to single power supply models.
Data center level hardware protection: The body adopts a high-strength alloy shell, supports IP20 protection level, and can resist dust intrusion; The working temperature range is extended to -5 ℃ to 55 ℃, and the humidity supports 5% -95% (non condensing), suitable for complex temperature and humidity environments in data center rooms; Built in lightning and surge protection circuits can withstand ± 6kV common mode and ± 3kV differential mode impacts, reducing the impact of power grid fluctuations on equipment.
High level redundancy and cluster capability: Supports stacking up to 8 devices to form a single logical cluster, with a stacking bandwidth of up to 1.6Tbps, enabling seamless cross device link aggregation (LAG) and business migration; Combined with Virtual Chassis technology, business automatically switches when devices in the cluster fail, with a switching time of less than 50ms. Compared to independently deployed core switches, the availability is increased to 99.999%.
