Precise device compatibility design: The Extreme Networks 8900-40G6X-xm, as a dedicated I/O expansion module, is clearly adapted to the Extreme Networks BlackDiamond 8800 series core switches and can seamlessly embed host device expansion port capabilities without the need for additional adaptation and debugging before being put into use.
6-port 40G high-density configuration: equipped with 6 QSFP+high-speed optical ports, single port supports 40Gbps data transmission rate, high-density port layout achieves large capacity expansion in limited module space, adapting to the high bandwidth interconnection requirements of the core layer and aggregation layer.
Flexible speed adaptation feature: QSFP+ports support splitting and use through breakout cables, which can be compatible with 10Gbps speeds downwards. A single module can flexibly convert to 24 10G ports, taking into account both existing 10G devices and future 40G upgrade needs.
High performance forwarding support: With the BlackDiamond 8800 series host, it can achieve a maximum processing capacity of 22000 per module, and support 512 ingress and 512 egress queue configurations to ensure accurate scheduling of high concurrency traffic.
ExtremeXOS Deep Adaptation: Starting from version 12.6.1 of ExtremeXOS, full support is provided, compatible with the system's multi-layer routing, security policies, and centralized management functions, ensuring the integrity and consistency of the extended network functionality.
