The Extreme Networks X590-24X-1Q-2C port switch is positioned as a high-end core/aggregation layer device, with a core configuration of 24 10GbE SFP+10 Gigabit ports, 1 40GbE QSFP+upstream port, and 2 expansion ports. It can meet the requirements of high-density 10 Gigabit terminal access and achieve ultra high speed interconnection with the core network, suitable for scenarios such as large campus network cores and data center aggregation layers.

24 10GbE SFP+10 Gigabit ports support line speed forwarding, with a single port bandwidth of up to 10Gbps. It can flexibly connect to 10 Gigabit servers, high-performance storage devices, 10 Gigabit wireless APs, and other terminals, easily carrying high-speed services such as big data transmission, cloud application access, and high-definition video streaming, solving the bottleneck problem of gigabit port bandwidth.

Equipped with one 40GbE QSFP+uplink port, with a single port bandwidth of 40Gbps, it can achieve high-speed interconnection with data center core switches and hyper converged architecture clusters through multi-mode/single-mode QSFP+optical modules, greatly improving uplink bandwidth and avoiding uplink congestion when multiple 10G ports are concurrent.

Two expansion ports (presumably flexible interfaces compatible with different speed modules) are reserved for future upgrades, and 25GbE, 40GbE, or even 100GbE modules can be selected according to business needs to improve port speed without replacing the entire machine, effectively protecting long-term hardware investments of enterprises.
