Product Details Introduction

The Extreme Networks X460-G2-24P-GE switch has the core advantage of "POE power supply+gigabit access", equipped with 24 10/100/1000Base-T POE+electrical ports and gigabit expansion ports (presumably SFP optical ports), which can meet the access needs of devices with POE requirements such as IP cameras and wireless APs, as well as achieve high-speed interconnection with higher-level networks, suitable for enterprise parks, office buildings and other scenarios.

24 POE+ports comply with the IEEE 802.3af/at standard, with a maximum output of 30W power per port. The total POE power is likely to meet the power supply requirements of the entire device, without the need for additional power deployment for POE terminals, significantly reducing wiring costs and construction complexity.

Supporting POE intelligent management, single port POE power limit, timed power supply/outage can be set through the management platform, and real-time monitoring of POE power supply status and power consumption of each port can be carried out to avoid equipment failures caused by overload and improve POE power supply stability.

Gigabit Expansion Ports (GE) provide flexible options for networking. Inserting SFP optical modules can achieve long-distance interconnection across floors and regions through fiber optics, or be paired with Gigabit electrical modules for close range docking with core switches and servers, adapting to different networking distance scenarios.

Adopting a high-performance non blocking forwarding architecture, the backplane bandwidth and packet forwarding rate can support line speed transmission of 24 Gigabit POE ports and Gigabit expansion ports, without the risk of traffic congestion, ensuring high-speed flow of video surveillance streams, office data, and other services, avoiding lag and delay.

Supports rich second and third layer network functions, in addition to VLAN partitioning, LACP link aggregation, RSTP/MSTP spanning tree, it is also compatible with static routing, RIP, OSPFv2 and other routing protocols, which can achieve routing forwarding between different network segments and meet the multi-layer networking needs of small and medium-sized networks.

Capable of fine-grained QoS control, it can prioritize traffic based on ports, IP addresses, and application types, such as allocating high priority bandwidth for video surveillance streams and voice calls, limiting bandwidth usage for regular downloads and online videos, and ensuring stable operation of critical services.

The management approach balances convenience and efficiency, supporting local web graphical interfaces (visual operation, suitable for novice operation and maintenance), CLI command lines (precise configuration, suitable for senior personnel), and compatible with the ExtremeCloud IQ cloud platform to achieve centralized monitoring, batch configuration, and fault alarm of multiple devices, reducing operation and maintenance costs.
