The Extreme Networks 210-24T-GE2 port switch is centered around "gigabit access+flexible expansion" and is equipped with 24 10/100/1000Base-T electrical ports and 2 gigabit expansion ports (presumably SFP optical ports), which can meet the terminal access needs of small offices, stores, and other scenarios, as well as achieve flexible interconnection with higher-level networks through expansion ports.

24 gigabit electrical ports support full duplex mode and automatic rate negotiation, which can be directly connected to common terminals such as computers, printers, wireless APs, IP cameras, etc., without the need for manual speed debugging. They can be quickly activated by plugging in, greatly reducing the difficulty of on-site deployment.

Two Gigabit Expansion Ports (GE2) provide flexibility for networking. If long-distance connections are required (such as across floors or buildings), SFP optical modules can be inserted for fiber optic transmission; If it is for close range interconnection, it can also be paired with gigabit electrical modules to connect to higher-level switches and adapt to different networking distance requirements.

Adopting a lightweight non blocking forwarding architecture, the backplane bandwidth and packet forwarding rate can support line speed transmission of 24 gigabit electrical ports and 2 gigabit expansion ports, avoiding traffic congestion when multiple devices are working simultaneously and ensuring smooth daily office file transmission and video calls.

Support basic layer 2 network functions, including VLAN partitioning (802.1Q), link aggregation (LACP), and spanning tree protocol (RSTP/MSTP), which can achieve terminal network isolation, improve link bandwidth and redundancy, and meet the basic networking needs of small networks.

It has practical QoS functions and can set traffic priority based on ports or business types, such as allocating high priority bandwidth for video conferencing and office systems, avoiding the occupation of critical business resources by ordinary internet access and file downloads, and ensuring that core work is not affected.

The management method is simple and easy to use. In addition to supporting local web graphical interfaces (visual operations, suitable for non professional operation and maintenance personnel) and CLI command lines, it is also compatible with a simple network management platform, which can quickly view port status and traffic data, simplifying daily operation and maintenance operations.

Integrated basic security protection capabilities, supporting port security (limiting the maximum number of devices per port), MAC address filtering, and 802.1X authentication, can prevent unauthorized devices from accessing the network, resist common security risks such as ARP spoofing, and safeguard the security of small network environments.

The hardware design is suitable for small scenarios and adopts a compact body (most likely 1RU rack or desktop). It can be flexibly selected for cabinet installation or desktop placement without occupying too much space, making it suitable for places with limited space such as offices, convenience stores, and small shops.
