Product Details Introduction

The Extreme Networks X430-24T high-performance network switch features high-density gigabit access as its core, equipped with 24 10/100/1000Base-T ports, supports full duplex mode and automatic rate negotiation, and can easily meet the access needs of multiple terminals (such as computers, printers, wireless APs) in enterprise offices, small parks, and other scenarios.

Although mainly based on electrical ports, it is highly likely to reserve flexible expansion capabilities. It is speculated that it can be compatible with SFP optical port modules (which need to be separately selected) and achieve long-distance high-speed interconnection with core switches through fiber optic links, adapting to different networking distance requirements.

Equipped with high-performance hardware forwarding architecture, the backplane bandwidth and packet forwarding rate can support line speed forwarding of 24 gigabit ports, non blocking data traffic processing, avoiding lag and delay caused by concurrent port transmission, and ensuring efficient flow of business data.

Supporting rich layer 2 basic functions, including VLAN partitioning (802.1Q), link aggregation (LACP), spanning tree protocol (STP/RSTP/MSTP), etc., can help build a highly isolated, redundant and reliable layer 2 network, reducing the impact of broadcast storms and single point failures.

It has a practical QoS (Quality of Service) mechanism that can prioritize traffic based on ports, MAC addresses, or IP addresses, prioritizing bandwidth resources for critical businesses such as video conferencing and ERP systems, and avoiding the use of core business bandwidth by ordinary internet traffic.

The management method is convenient and flexible, supporting both local web graphical interfaces (intuitive and easy to operate, suitable for novice administrators) and CLI command lines (efficient and accurate, suitable for senior operation and maintenance personnel), as well as compatibility with the ExtremeCloud IQ cloud management platform, enabling centralized monitoring and batch configuration of multiple devices.

Considering the deployment requirements for small scenarios, a compact 1RU rack mounted design is adopted, with a small body size that can be easily embedded in standard cabinets or placed on desktops for more flexible deployment in limited space environments such as offices and small computer rooms.

Integrated basic security protection functions, supporting port security (limiting the maximum number of MAC addresses per port), 802.1X identity authentication, and MAC address filtering, can effectively prevent unauthorized devices from accessing the network, resist common network attacks such as ARP spoofing, and ensure LAN security.
